This is Pixie, The moment I saw her, I wanted to keep her. Anybody that knows me knows that I get attached to my babies, all of them. The hardest part about breeding is letting them go. Knowing they go into great homes helps, a lot! I've decided I'm going to keep Pixie. This decision wasn't easy since I don't currently have a male that I can breed her to. Ill either stud her out or buy another, I haven't decided.
I believe she is dilute and looks to be blue dd. I got her tested with Embark along with two others in this litter. Her Embark genetic test came back and it says she's black with tan point. That's very unusual because she looks dilute. The other two puppies I tested came back as blue dd (picture attached). In the picture below you can see her coat color looks different than the other two but it definitely doesn't look black. I wonder if they mixed her swab, idk. I called embark and they said they'll recheck her swab for dilute, it'll take a week or two for them to recheck. I'm going to retest her with another genetic company also. If she does come back as black, that's okay. I'll love her regardless and I will have learned something new. I couldn't sell her as a blue without proof, this is another reason I've decided to keep her. She's very unique and I love her personality. Actually I love them all but this one reminds me so much of her momma.
